LED Strip Lights
LED strip lights or LED strips/tapes are a versatile lighting solution that provides endless possibilities.
The LED lighting strip is basically a continuous row of LEDs that have been soldered along with resistance to form a circuit. When powered by a power supply or driver, the LEDs produce a seamless light, similar to a fluorescent lamp. LEDs are low voltage and require a DC (DC voltage) that is usually 12 or 24 voltDC current. When connecting the shredders to a mains voltage, the power supply from the LED driver must be used. The driver’s power is determined by the current strength and the length of the band.
There are three main types of LED strip Lights; the first is not waterproof. This version is the most basic and fragile because the LEDs are placed on a card or plastic without any protection to protect them. This version consists of a similar range of LEDs but is covered by a clear, thin silicone layer. The silicone version is not adhesive, when you paste this to a surface, double-sided tape or glue must be used. Another version that provides greater protection when the LEDs are sealed and placed in the epoxy resin set. This version is waterproof, rated on IP65 and adhesive. The Epoxy version adds the best assets in the other LED strips.

Variants
These variants are just the construction of the lighting strips. Within the strips, there are many types of LED chips that can be used, ranging from smaller dimmer chips to larger lighter chips. When using larger chips, the strip must be wider to house them.
LED bands have been used in commercial applications for many years but until recently it was considered too expensive and complicated for household use. As the price of LEDs gradually falls due to higher demand and mass production, the LED strip is now more accessible. Easy to order, plug and play kits allow consumers to suit themselves and many realize the full potential that the LED strip has to offer.
One of the fastest-growing areas used by the LED strip is under kitchen cabinets. The advantages of using the lighting strips here are that they can be cut to almost exactly the lengths required (within 50 mm). Basic installations can be made in minutes because the strips can be attached directly to the cabinets using adhesive support. Then connect the power supply straight into a standard socket and the job is done.
Some commercial projects can become quite complicated when using multiple color-changing strips and all need to be checked from the main unit. This is when a Digital Multiplexer (DMX) control must be used when DMX converts a basic digital signal to a PWM signal (plus-width modulation). After the strips are converted to a PWM signal. They can then be controlled by computer-based software that allows everything from color change to a stage setting.

For new users of LED strip lights, the options may seem daunting, but most companies have now realized that there is no need to store all available strips when a type will cover most applications. A version is available with 30 LEDs per meter or the super light 60 LEDs per meter. Even when you have chosen your type of strip, there are different variations because they are manufactured in different factories that have different quality control procedures.
Control of the strip can be done using a basic off/on the switch. Remote control or by using computer-based software via a DMX decoder. The most advanced way is to check the lights from an iPhone or a smartphone. This allows you to fog or change the color of the strip in your kitchen from anywhere in the world! This is a great way to scare the rest of the household when you are on vacation or working.
LED strips can be delivered on very short runs from 50 mm up to 100 meters. Use of hard cables, heavy power units must be used on longer runs. Hard-wired installations should be performed by a qualified electrician. But shorter runs (about 10 meters) can be performed by almost anyone because no tools or electrical knowledge is required.
