Perhaps many people do not know that there are reference regulations, such as the Unified Text on Safety in the Workplaces DM 81/2008 which also deals with the issue of lighting, examined in detail with the European standard EN 12464-1 “lighting of workplaces” which replaced the historic UNI 10380 of 1994.

How to choose the color of Light to light up a house?
The color of light is generally available in 3 shades ranging from cold light 6000K, to natural white 4000K to warm light 3000K.
We almost always discourage the use of white light 6000K because it has a low CRI value (color rendering index) and also because, especially in working environments, prolonged exposure can tire the eyes, straining the eyes.
For work and living areas such as kitchens, we are happy to recommend 4000K natural light because it is a type of white light that is best able to imitate the natural light of the sun and very natural perception of colors.
For more intimate settings such as the living room, the bedroom we always recommend the 3000K warm light because it is a type of comfort light and one that comes closest to the color of the old halogen filament lamps.
How to choose the type of light source?
The choice of the light source is fundamental for good lighting, how do you choose the right one?
The answer is: It depends on the result you want to get!
- The light can be:
- On time
It is the classic source of ceiling or wall lighting (the classic ceiling lights)
Indirect or reflected light
how to light up a house When the light source is aimed at ceilings and walls, then the worktops are indirectly illuminated. It is much recommended to create the right settings without having direct glare from the light source, an example is the veils illuminated with LED strip lights pointed in the ceiling, the light appears diffused and poor in shadows.
It is a punctual light source and spreads in all directions in a uniform manner. The light sources consist of individual lamps. Usually, it is used to illuminate paintings, mirrors, an example is a directional spotlight.
This type of light makes it possible to obtain a uniform light in the environment to be illuminated without shadows and darker areas, a classic example is lighting systems with aluminum profiles and LED strips
How to choose the positioning of the light points?
The choice of positioning is equally important to achieve the desired effects, a wrong placement can cause highly illuminated areas or dark areas.
There are calculation programs for choosing the positioning of the light sources, but if we want to explain in a simple way we can say that based on the characteristics of the light source (power, lumens supplied, light beam, height of the points) with some simple trigonometry calculations it is possible to calculate the distances for example between a spotlight and another.
A badly lit environment, in addition to not being valued, is also an unpleasant environment.
Proper lighting at home, or at work gives us a better quality of life.
